About
The Creative Behind the Work
Hello! I'm Elizabeth Sosa — a multidisciplinary creative specializing in brand identity, website design, and visual storytelling for brands that want to stand out. I am a professional website designer and graphic designer. I would describe my unique design aesthetic as eclectic, elegant, whimsical, bohemian, playful, yet edgy and modern. A distinctive design style of my own that simply lies in a minimalistic, earthly and sensible approach to design. I am passionate about computer graphic arts and technology, a little bit of a nerd, I enjoy coding! I admire organic website development. Simply awed when code and design collide. I am amazed by the limitless possibilities AI brings to creative design. I enjoy learning and discovering and on the emphasis on the importance of growing and evolving as a designer. I aspire to be part of the design for good movement, to express a deeper meaning with my art and utilize my creative skills to make a positive contribution to non-profit organizations that are making a difference in the world through their sustainability efforts and child enrichment programs, through community, collaboration, education and inspiration. Entwining and dabbling in many forms of expression of art through website design, graphic design, art & illustration, writing, photography, product design, home décor, arts and crafts, sewing, handmade embroidery, cooking, baking, cake & cupcake decorating and gardening. Being an independent designer allows me the flexibility to spend more time at home with my family, make creative messes at home in my studio, where time seems to stand still, follow my creative dreams and turn my creativity into a business. By having a little faith and with the encouragement from my family, I hope to find fulfillment and happiness doing what I love. Looking forward to what the next chapter of my story holds and I can’t wait to see where this creative journey takes me.

My Story
I’ve spent over a decade helping brands find their visual voice — from early-stage startups to established businesses looking for a fresh perspective. My work lives at the intersection of strategy and aesthetics.
Before going independent, I worked in-house at agencies in Miami, Florida and in Houston, Texas as a creative on marketing campaign projects for a variety of industries. Agency experience built a strong foundation, ensuring every decision is intentional, refined, and dedicated to serving the brand's story. Today I work with a handful of clients each season — brands and clients who value craft, collaboration, and work that lasts. By taking on a select number of projects, I am able to dedicate more time to the project at hand, ensuring that each client receives a boutique creative service experience.
My path into design was not the traditional one — no university degree, no formal training. Design school was not part of my story. What I have comes from within. A natural instinct for composition, color, and storytelling that no classroom put there and a curiosity that never really switches off. It started with a natural gift and a deep love for creating. I took a couple of basic community college classes. The rest I taught myself — YouTube became my classroom, software became my playground, and curiosity became my greatest teacher. The rest I learned the best way possible: by doing the work, alongside real clients, on real projects. Every project added a new challenge. That hands-on experience taught me something no classroom could. That combination of intuitive, self-directed learning, and real-world experience is what shapes every project I take on.
The Process
Design Rooted in Strategy
Great design doesn’t start with aesthetics — it starts with understanding. Before I open a single file, I spend time learning your brand, your audience, and what you’re trying to convey.
Whether your brand is elegant, playful, vintage or modern when choosing the brand’s aesthetic and forming concept and design, the designer goes through what’s called the creative design process, which consists of vision, planning, research, strategy and design. To better understand the company’s vision, expectations and project requirements an initial consultation and feedback session is coordinated with the client. At the meeting we will discuss project details, timeline and schedule a completion date. The meeting will ensure that the client has my attention, their message is heard and understood so that the brand aesthetic clearly illustrates the brand’s narrative and intention. The client will be asked to complete a questionnaire that will help articulate and identify the brand’s marketing objective. This will give me a better understanding of the company vision, expectations and project requirements. I will then begin to research the company, competitors, industry and product or service to evaluate for the best solution. Once all of the information is gathered the brainstorming session begins. We will toss around ideas and begin to formulate a plan of action that will articulate the company vision and purpose.
The Craft
Self-Taught, Client-Refined
I never took the traditional route. No design school, no formal degree — just an undeniable pull toward creating things that were beautiful and purposeful. What I have comes from within. A natural instinct for composition, color, and storytelling that no classroom put there.
The rest? I taught myself. Countless hours of YouTube tutorials, late nights experimenting with software, and an obsessive curiosity that never really switches off. I absorbed everything I could — typography, layout, branding, code — piecing it all together through practice, repetition, and a genuine love for the craft. But the most valuable education came from working directly with clients. Every project brought a new challenge, a new industry, a new set of expectations to meet and exceed. Real-world experience has a way of sharpening your instincts faster than any curriculum ever could. You learn to listen, to problem-solve, to translate someone’s vision into something they didn’t even know they needed. That combination — natural creative instinct, self-directed learning, and years of hands-on client work — is what shapes every project I take on. It’s not the path most designers take, but it’s mine, and I wouldn’t trade it.
